Nursing salaries vary depending on where you live, the amount of nursing experience, educational background, and placement.

Current hospital rates indicate that base salaries for nurses range from $40,000 to start and reach as high as $75,000 with experience. Add to that any premiums for working extra shifts, weekends, and overtime, and the total cash compensation of nurses can easily increase by an additional $10,000.
