Consortium Committees

 


The Consortium presently has seven active volunteer committees.  Employees of member organizations are encouraged to become involved with one or more of the Consortium Committees listed below.
 

  • Deans & Directors

    This committee serves as an important forum for the region’s leaders in nursing education.  To request additional information or to request notification of meeting notices, please click here
     
     
  • Clinical Placement

    This committee formed to address concerns associated with the manual processes that existed for scheduling student clinicals, and advocated for the implementation of one of the nation’s first computerized clinical placement systems.  Today this committee promotes use of the region’s centralized clinical placement system, continues to evaluate lessons learned, and promotes adoption of best practices

  • Middle / High School Programss

    This committee organizes the Day in the Life of a Nurse program held each year on the second Friday of November and also supports the creation of Future Nurses Clubs in South Florida high schools

  • Educational Conferences

    This committee makes arrangements for most Consortium conferences and supports those coordinated by other committees, activities include topic/theme selection and development, making speaker arrangements, and securing program sponsorships.  To request additional information or to volunteer, please click here.
     
     
  • Advocacy & Outreach

    This committee facilitates and encourages the education of elected and appointed officials and staff on matters of importance to the nursing profession, and helps nurses identify and engage their representatives. It also fosters collaboration with other nursing organizations on public policy initiatives beneficial to nursing.
