Learn, Connect, and Celebrate Nursing at Nursing Consortium of Florida Conferences
Twice a year, the Nursing Consortium of Florida Conference Planning Committee unites dynamic volunteers from member nursing practice and academic organizations to plan extraordinary learning and networking opportunities. Each conference is organized around a theme, and presents the best in related innovations and best practices, spotlights leading national and local speakers, and attracts hundreds of passionate nurses, spanning all levels of expertise – from the freah vigor of entry-level professionals to the seasoned wisdom of executive leaders.

Clinical Scheduling made easy by the Nursing Consortium of Florida with CCPS!
As stewards of the cutting-edge Centralized Clinical Placement System (CCPS) in the Sunshine State, the Nursing Consortium of Florida greatly facilitates the scheduling of clinical site experiences for nursing and allied health students. The CCPS is a cost-effective web-based solution for posting defined opportunities and needs and efficiently setting placements for very large numbers of student cohorts and preceptorships. It has become a widely-adopted time-saving solution embraced by scheduling professionals at more than 140 clinical and academic sites in Florida, and provides needed data to executive leaders at the click of a button.

Engage, Inform, and Inspire Area Youth through Day in the Life of a Nurse™
Each Summer, the Nursing Consortium of Florida Youth Outreach Committee unites dynamic volunteers from member nursing practice and academic organizations to plan Day in the Life of a Nurse™; a program of layered experiences that provides middle and high school students with early exposure to the world of nursing and nursing education. In addition to offering a structured one-day in-person experience at host hospitals and schools of nursing Day in the Life of a Nurse™ includes a Best Practices Toolkit for host facilities that includes standard participant releases, a companion curriculum, a virtual program of interactive and video content with teacher lesson plans, and pre- and post-experience student surveys.

The Nursing Consortium of Florida welcomes opportunities to work with donors seeking to invest in strengthening the nursing profession by helping to fund interventions that address today’s top. Donor generosity enables the piloting and expansion of targeted initiatives and the measurement, documentation, and publishing of the impact of such initiatives. Cultivating philanthropic partnerships amplifies the Consortium's capacity for meaningful impact on nursing and community well-being.

Membership

Membership in the Nursing Consortium of Florida is open to organizations that employ nurses. Nurses working at member hospitals, schools of nursing, and hospice and staffing organizations regardless of their level of responsibility or practice or specialty area are welcomed to collaborate with peers on Consortium committees; they can register for conferences at a discount, and get regular newsletters with local and national nursing news. Community Engagement

The Nursing Consortium of Florida is a founding strategic partner of the Nurses on Boards Coalition, and fosters community engagement through active nurse engagement with local leaders on community boards amplifying understanding and contributing to support for health equity and access to care, benefitting Floridians young and old.
